Each month one of our incredible consultants is “chosen to” receive recognition because they truly embody our core values—Accountability, Partnership, Drive, Curiosity, and Transparency—with their clients and our consultant community. I get the honor of asking them a few fun questions beyond their daily work deliverables! Meet Dana Bos, our June consultant of the month.
Q: What is the most dangerous thing you have ever done?
A: I’m not much of a thrill-seeker, per se. But the first thought that popped into my head was when I hiked Zion Canyon. There was a final summit where you had to rope climb up a craggy rock without any sort of harness, and if you let go, you’d plummet thousands of feet. So I was entirely reliant on my hands and arm strength to propel myself to the top. It was terrifying and exhilarating and I still can’t believe I did it.
Q: What is your go-to Karaoke song?
A: Oh gosh. I adore karaoke. I’ve run a monthly karaoke group for over seven years (it’s called Karaoke Party People—come find us on Facebook!) and also host karaoke once a month at a Mexican pub near my house. So it’s hard to pick just one go-to song. Most recently I’ve found my range has improved so that I can pull off a pretty convincing Journey (“Wheel in the Sky” and “Lights” in particular). But if I had to pick one go-to of all time—a song that I can nail every time and that nearly every crowd knows and loves—that would have to be “Fat-Bottomed Girls” by Queen. It does make the rocking world go ‘round (yeah).
Q: What do you love about working with your client?
A: Working in the events space has been a wild ride! With so many stakeholders and moving parts, it’s been an exciting challenge to wrangle process from the chaos, while still leaving space to move at the proverbial pace of business. I love that my teammates are dedicated, whip–smart, and always able to maintain a sense of levity and calm, even when it’s crunch time. It’s such a great group!
Q: What is the #1 thing that you like about Projectline? Why Projectline and not another firm?
A: What’s been so clear to me is how Projectline truly practices what many only preach. Projectline truly cares about its people, and they show it with an incredible benefits package, account managers who listen and support, and fun perks like relaxation practices and meditation apps to ensure we’re taking care of ourselves (consultant life can be stressful!). I also value Projectline’s commitment to diversity and community.
Q: From what location do you work (Mostly home? Mostly client site? Blend?)
A: I mostly work from my home office in Ballard, but occasionally put on a dress and lipstick to meet with my client onsite.
Q: In honor of your being Consultant of the Month, we would like to donate $250 in your name to the organization of your choice! Which organization would you like us to donate to?
A: In light of the current state of women’s reproductive rights in the world and especially the U.S. I would like to donate to Planned Parenthood. I’d love to use this donation to provide a little bit more support to the impactful work they do to serve those in need. Thanks so much for the wonderful gift!
I’m personally impressed with the dedication our consultants have to their work, but also to the wider world. If you know someone like this, please tell them about Projectline and point them to our career page. We are always hiring!
