Each month one of our incredible consultants is “chosen to” receive recognition because they truly embody our core values—Accountability, Partnership, Drive, Curiosity, and Transparency—with their clients and our consultant community. I get the honor of asking them a few fun questions beyond their daily work deliverables! Meet David Cruz Torres, our July consultant of the month.
Q: What is the most dangerous thing you have ever done?
A: I once drove a scooter in Vietnam’s massive traffic.
Q: What is your go-to Karaoke song?
A: Aladdin – A Whole New World.
Q: What is your passion outside of work?
A: ‘ShookBoyz’ the brand I created with my husband. It’s my way of combining my passion for visual arts and my experience as a business professional.
Q: What is the # 1 thing that you like about Projectline? Why Projectline and not another firm?
A: I love the commitment to my personal/professional development. Projectline is focused on the future of work, diversity, mindfulness, charity, and community. These are all values I hold in myself and it’s important to me to belong to an organization that continually delivers on good core values.
Q: Where do you like to volunteer your time or donate your extra cash? What organizations do you support?
A: As a queer Latino artist is important for me to spend my extra time and cash supporting other artists. It’s a great trade-off to fill my house with art and stories from other marginalized groups while putting money in the pocket of those artists so they can continue to grow, feel validated and know they are worthy of admiration. I support the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) for the rights of all.
Q: From what location do you work (Mostly home? Mostly client site? Blend?)
A: My home office in Vegas.
Q: In honor of your being Consultant of the Month, we would like to donate $250 in your name to the organization of your choice! Which organization would you like us to donate to?
A: The Human Rights Campaign (HRC).
I’m personally impressed with the dedication our consultants have to their work, but also to the wider world. If you know someone like this, please tell them about Projectline and point them to our career page. We are always hiring!
